Oh, Mia & Corey, you guys are too fun. We headed out to Warner Parks in Nashville for this session & I had a blast! I love capturing kids doing what they do best- goofing off & being themselves.

I was so thrilled to meet Paris & little Ella last Sunday for a kids session in Murfreesboro. The 70 degree weather rocked my world. Aren’t they just the cutest? I’m so glad their parents drove them in from Nashville for some fun photo time. Here are some favorites..
Last weekend I had the immense pleasure of attending a not-a-workshop-workshop in Nashville & met many talented local photographers! It was such a fun day because I got to learn from so many different photographers with such different styles & subject matter. I even had the opportunity to exhibit how I work with couples, which was definitely a first for me. I rarely talk about what goes on in my mind when I take photos, so it was actually pretty eye opening for me to think about my own train of thought! I photographed a mini-session with cutie-pa-tooties Chelsey & Evan of Hurst Photography. Aren’t they adorable!?
BIG UPS to Joshua Gull for organizing the workshop & opening his home to a bunch of crazy artists. Other photographers present were Joe Hendricks, Brennan McKissick, Logan Zane Hunt, Jen Wood, Chad Lunn, Maria Fontana Clark, Elijah Corliss, Kermit Purcell, Emily Brown, and Chelsey & Evan of Hurst Photography.
I’m always wanting to take photos during winter, but not that many people are willing to get their picture taken in the cold! Ashley is a trooper. I asked her to sit on snow, take off her jacket, and even run around like a crazy person in the middle of nowhere. It was like 14 degrees! The sun reluctantly came out at the end of our session and BOY did I welcome it. She was totally up for anything, and I had so much fun! Thank you Ashley!
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl & Bryan at Ijams Nature Center. Ijams is one of my favorite spots in Knoxville & the rain didn’t stop us from getting some good shots! Cheryl & Bryan are adorable. I asked Cheryl to put her hand on his neck & I got a great shot from it! Bryan is really ticklish.
Plainly put, Cheryl just rocks. She works for Operation Homefront’s Wounded Warrior Wives Program & needed some new photos for her blog- Wife of a Wounded Soldier. She is absolutely amazing- don’t go to her blog unless you want to get sucked into it for hours. Make sure to have a box of tissues at hand. I admire her honesty & all the hard work she does for injured service members & their families. She has chronicled their journey from the beginning. Please check it out!
