I met Mariah & Mark for their Nashville summer engagement session on a blistering humid day in August. And when I say it was humid, I mean it was one of those hot summer days that hits you in the face the moment you step outside. But Mariah & Mark rocked their session & we made some incredible photos & memories. And their dog, Mr. Roosevelt, is SO cute & full of personality

One of my favorite things about photographing in the summer is the bright, deep greens. The bare trees of winter are bothering me a bit, so this engagement session is getting me into the mood for spring. Thanks for looking!

I met Lauren & Troy at the University of Tennessee campus for their fall engagement photos. They were smart enough to think ahead & plan their session for fall break- genius! Lauren & Troy have such an easiness with each other. It was a real treat to photograph their engagement session & get to know them a bit more!

From there we headed to Volunteer Landing. Even though I’ve been photographing in Knoxville forever, I admit I’ve never actually had a session at Volunteer Landing. The beautiful bridge, perfect sunset light- I have been missing out big time! Kudos to Lauren & Troy to opening my eyes to this gem :)

I was so excited when Quinn & Jesse signed up for one of my fall Knoxville couple mini-session spots. It’s always an honor when photographers hire you. I warned my mini-session clients, we will not be rescheduling due to rain. We will play in it! Quinn & Jesse were down & we got some beautiful, playful images! The rain always intensifies fall color so it doesn’t bother me one bit. I enjoy getting to bring out my umbrella collection.

Would you believe it if I told you that Amanda & I connected on Reddit? Because we did & I think that’s just the coolest thing. I met Amanda & Paul for their colorful Knoxville engagement session at UT Gardens. We had some amazing light to play in & I love how her outfit reflects the purple at the gardens. I’m desperately trying to catch up on blogging. Amanda & Paul fell victim to my great blogging lull of 2013 but I am committed to catching up!

After a few rain delays, I was finally able to meet with Erica & Jordan last October on a chilly afternoon at the Nashville Parthenon in Centennial Park. With their adorable dog Rosie, we managed to get some great shots despite the usual hoards of people! Sometimes having a camera in your hand is like magic- people just awkwardly avoid walking in front of you.

Erica & Jordan are the best kind of people. And their dog Rosie? Come ON! You are going to die when I post their incredible wedding too.
